At 4 Ever Puppies, the health and wellbeing of every companion is our top priority.
This Health Guarantee outlines the protections included with every puppy and kitten
adoption, what is and isn't covered, and the steps to take if a covered condition
arises. This guarantee is provided in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you
may have under applicable state law.
1 Our Commitment
Every companion placed by 4 Ever Puppies is guaranteed to be in good health, free
from any life-threatening congenital or hereditary condition, at the time of delivery
or pickup. We back this commitment with a written 2-year genetic health
guarantee against major hereditary conditions common to the breed.
2 Pre-Delivery Health Screening
Before any puppy or kitten leaves our care, they undergo a thorough health screening process:
- Full physical examination by a licensed, independent veterinarian
- Age-appropriate vaccinations administered on schedule
- Deworming treatment completed per veterinary guidelines
- Health certificate issued for travel (required for delivery)
- Visual and physical inspection for any signs of illness or parasites
3 What's Covered
Our health guarantee covers the following, subject to the terms outlined in this document:
Covered
- Major life-threatening congenital defects
- Hereditary conditions common to the breed
- Parvovirus or Distemper (if diagnosed within 7 days of delivery)
- Hip/elbow dysplasia (large breeds, within guarantee period)
- Heart murmurs graded III or higher at birth
Not Covered
- Illness or injury caused by improper care after adoption
- Parasites, coccidia, or giardia (treatable, minor conditions)
- Conditions caused by failure to follow vet-recommended care
- Minor cosmetic issues (coat color, markings, bite alignment)
- Allergies or conditions developed after 2 years of age
4 What's Not Covered — Additional Detail
This guarantee does not cover conditions resulting from accidents, neglect, improper
diet, failure to vaccinate on schedule, or any other care-related issue occurring after
the companion has left our facility. Additionally, this guarantee is void if the
required 72-hour veterinary examination (see Section 5) is not completed and documented.
Failure to schedule the mandatory 72-hour vet check will void this health guarantee in its entirety.
5 The 72-Hour Vet Visit
To keep this guarantee valid, you are required to take your new companion to a
licensed veterinarian of your choice within 72 hours of delivery or
pickup. This visit serves to confirm your companion's health and document baseline
wellness. Please retain a copy of the veterinary report — it may be requested if you
ever need to file a claim.
6 Filing a Claim
If your veterinarian diagnoses a condition you believe is covered under this
guarantee, please follow these steps:
- Contact us within 48 hours of diagnosis at [email protected]
- Provide a written veterinary diagnosis, including test results if applicable
- Allow us the opportunity to have the diagnosis confirmed by a veterinarian of our choosing, at our expense, if requested
- Our team will review your claim and respond within 5–7 business days
7 Remedies
If a claim is approved under this guarantee, 4 Ever Puppies will, at our sole discretion, offer one of the following remedies:
- Replacement with a comparable puppy or kitten of equal value, when available
- Reimbursement of reasonable veterinary costs directly related to the covered condition, up to the original purchase price
- A partial refund, to be determined on a case-by-case basis
This guarantee does not provide for a full refund of the purchase price in combination
with keeping the companion, except where required by applicable state law.
